On Monday, December 29, 2025, Radio 254 identified a cybersecurity incident affecting our website, www.254.radio. During this incident, users accessing the site via Google Chrome were shown a fraudulent prompt disguised as an advertisement, which attempted to trick users into running a command that could have installed malicious software. This attempt was unsuccessful, and no users interacted with or were affected by the fake prompt.
On January 6, 2026, the attackers further attempted to disrupt our operations by redirecting visitors from www.254.radio to a foreign betting website. Upon discovery, Radio 254 immediately took action to secure the site, regain control of the domain, and initiate a full recovery process.
Radio 254 has since fully regained control of its website and domain and is working closely with relevant authorities to pursue criminal and legal action against those responsible, whom we have been able to identify and track. We are grateful to our domain registrar, hosting provider, and cybersecurity partners for their swift support in restoring access and strengthening our systems to prevent future incidents.
We can confirm with certainty that none of the 3.6 million users who visited our website between December 29, 2025, and January 10, 2026, were affected by this incident. Additionally, www.254.radio does not store or process any user data, and as such, no user information was compromised or stolen.
Moving forward, we have implemented additional security measures to further protect our digital infrastructure. Radio 254’s streams, music, and content are hosted on a separate, independently secured server and are only relayed through the website, ensuring that our radio and TV services remain available and unaffected even in the event of future incidents.
We take the security of our platform seriously and remain committed to transparency, accountability, and the continued trust of our audience, partners, and community.
