It appears as though every other day, a Kenyan loses their life in the hands of the Kenyan police.
As Radio 254, we believe that one life lost is too much as nobody should have to lose their life for speaking up but that is the sad reality that Kenyans are facing under the regime of William Ruto.
It has not been even three years since this government came to power and each day the situation in the country gets worse as the economy continues to shrink and corruption increases.
The problem we have as a country is simple, we have a 1% that is very wealthy because of corruption and the rest of the country that is unable to make ends meet or secure a job despite being educated.
The word billion is loosely thrown around everyday that Kenyans have become numb and the news has become depressing as every other day a new corruption scandal is unearthed.
For those that steal what is meant for development, there is no consequence but dare you steal from those who have long stolen from us under the guise of leadership.
As Kenyans we know better, we are actually one of the most intelligent species on the planet but because we are human, we forget and continue with our everyday lives even when things are not business as usual.
These are unusual times for our country Kenya.
Those in power are drunk with power and shooting everywhere while we go out into the streets unarmed asking for the rule of law to be followed.
Even though Kenya is a lawless country we don’t have anywhere else to go. Is the government going to “kill us all” in order to silence us or will they finally listen to We the people.
